How to conjugate regular -ir verbs in the Present Tense.
Normal -ir Conjugation
The final group of present tense regular verbs are those that end in -ir.
Our example in this case is vivir which means to live. Drop the -ir ending, and the root is "viv".
A New Pattern
After your time practicing the -ar and -er verbs, you might assume that the -ir endings would be similar, except with each ending starting with the letter "i". Unfortunately, that's not the case.
To conjugate an -ir verb, four of the six forms are identical to -er verbs. That is, the Yo, Tú, Él and Ellos forms use the same endings as with -er verbs.
The Nosotros form uses the more predictable -imos ending, while the Vosotros form is different yet again. (Just remember, you won't see the Vosotros form in the exercises or quiz.)

Conjugation Details
As noted above, only the Nosotros form retains the original "i" from the -ir ending. Even the Vosotros form substitutes it with an accented "í".
At least the 1st person singular is consistent, with its -o ending.
But the other endings just need to be learned on their own.
Let's do one more example. This time recibir , which means to receive.
